Yew Mysteries

Great Yew of Glen Lyon at Fortingall in Perthshire, Scotland was a tiny green yew ‘acorn’, ‘apple’ then ‘nut’. Experts such as Alan Titchmarsh can now state it is 6,000 years old, Professor David Bellamy, even 9,000 years old. This living being was already ancient before the Great Pyramid was built (according to standard Egyptian chronology) at the centre of the Earth’s longest land contact meridians at Giza around 4.500 years ago. Fortingall is regarded as the geographical centre of Scotland. Once, in early Egyptian times, the Orion constellation was called the Tree of Life. Given the Orion star correlation theory of Robert Bauval et al and three pyramids’ layout at Giza, perhaps they symbolise the Tree of Life and, if so, are where the Tree of Life should be - in the centre of the ‘Garden’ of Earth. Osiris was deceptively laid in a hollow tree by his jealous brother and killed but after regeneration by Isis his wife, his face is coloured green. Some think this is the ‘Green Man’, particularly venerated at Rosslyn Chapel, where the famous ‘Apprentice Pillar’ is actually the World Tree, or Tree of Life.
